Why does a soundscape need the internet?
Soundscapes are streamed from Pixabay's audio server when you play them, so they need a connection. Wake melodies and the background audio for guided journeys are built into the app and work offline.
Will sounds keep playing when I lock my phone?
Yes. Petrichor keeps playing audio with the screen off, so a soundscape or sleep session continues while you fall asleep.
How do I turn on the daily reminder?
On the Today tab, tap the gear to open Settings and turn on "Remind me to practice". iOS asks for notification permission the first time.
Which sounds are free?
Nature and white-noise soundscapes are free. Ambient and music soundscapes are part of Petrichor Premium.
Do I need an account?
No. Petrichor works without signing in.
Where is my data kept?
On your device. We don’t have a copy, so we can’t recover it if you delete the app; keep your device backed up.
How do I restore my purchases?
Today ▸ Settings (gear) ▸ Membership ▸ Restore purchases, or on the Premium screen. Use the same Apple Account you bought with. If your purchase still doesn’t appear, email us.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Settings ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions ▸ Petrichor, then Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting Petrichor from your device removes what it keeps in its own storage. If you've bought something, a random purchase identifier that the app keeps in the iOS Keychain can stay on the device after the app is deleted, so your purchases can be matched again; it doesn't identify you.
