What can I do with Wagtale?
- A profile for your dog: name, age stage (puppy, adult or senior) and deaf or low vision needs.
- 40 illustrated tricks with steps, English and Spanish cue words, a hand signal, a sound cue and a difficulty level.
- Five minute sessions with a timer, a rep counter, stop while it's fun coaching and a clicker with sound and haptics.

How does a session work?
Today ▸ Start session. Tap the big Click button the instant your dog gets it right, then reward. The 5 minute timer starts with your first click, and the coaching line tells you when to stop while it's fun. Tap Finish when you're done.
How does a trick become a storybook page?
When your dog does the trick on cue most of the time, tap Mark as mastered at the end of a session or on the trick's page (Tricks ▸ the trick). It appears in Storybook as a new chapter with your dog's name and portrait.
How do I add my dog's portrait?
Storybook ▸ Add a portrait, or Settings ▸ tap the portrait next to your dog's name, then pick a photo. Wagtale paints it on your device and keeps only the painted copy. No photo? Settings ▸ Illustrated look lets you choose one of 206 illustrated breeds.
How do I export the storybook?
Storybook ▸ Export PDF (top right) once your dog has mastered a trick. Share it, print it or save it to Files.
How do we keep everyone at home on the same cue words?
Settings ▸ Family cue words, or Tricks ▸ a trick ▸ Edit next to Family cue words. Type your household's English and Spanish words; leave a field empty to use the suggested word. With iCloud sync on, they sync to your other devices.
How do I restore or cancel Wagtale Plus?
Settings ▸ Wagtale Plus ▸ Restore purchases. To cancel the yearly plan, Settings ▸ Wagtale Plus ▸ Manage subscription, at least 24 hours before it renews. The lifetime purchase is a single payment with nothing to cancel.
Do I need an account?
No. Wagtale works without signing in.
Where is my data kept?
On your device, and in your own iCloud account if you turn on iCloud sync. We don’t have a copy, so we can’t recover it if you delete the app; keep your device backed up.
How do I restore my purchases?
Settings ▸ Wagtale Plus ▸ Restore purchases, and Restore at the bottom of the Wagtale Plus screen, below the plans. Use the same Apple Account you bought with. If your purchase still doesn’t appear, email us.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Settings ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions ▸ Wagtale, then Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I delete my data?
In the app: Settings ▸ Data and privacy ▸ Delete all session videos deletes every session video on this device. A trick's Remove from storybook takes its page out of the book, and Reset to suggested words removes a custom cue. To remove everything else, delete the app. Deleting Wagtale from your device removes what it keeps in its own storage; data in your iCloud account can be removed in Settings ▸ your name ▸ iCloud. If you turned on iCloud sync, a copy stays in your private iCloud database until you delete Wagtale's data in iCloud settings on your iPhone. A storybook PDF you shared or saved stays wherever you put it.
