Hintkeep Privacy Policy
In short
- Data not collected. Hintkeep doesn’t send your personal information to us or to anyone else. What you enter stays on your device.
- No tracking and no ads. Hintkeep doesn’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites and doesn’t show ads.
- No analytics or crash-reporting services are built in.
- No account: you don’t sign in, and we don’t know who you are.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
Who we are
Hintkeep (“Hintkeep: Thoughtful Gifts” on the App Store) is published by Marketgence Technologies LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Hintkeep on your iPhone or iPad. Questions: [email protected].
What stays on your device
Hintkeep keeps these on your device, in the app’s own storage that other apps can’t read:
- People you add, with their interests, likes, dislikes, sizes, notes and relationship.
- Hints, gift ideas, occasions and dates, reminders, purchases and prices, budgets and gift history.
- Photos and voice notes you add, saved as files protected by iOS data protection.
- Links, text or images you share to Hintkeep from other apps, held in a private inbox shared only between Hintkeep and its share extension until you review them.
- Settings such as App Lock, reminders, discreet notifications and default currency.
- A random identifier the app creates for App Store purchases, kept in this iPhone's Keychain.
We don’t receive this information and can’t see it.
Like other app data, it may be included in your device backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you use them.
What leaves your device
Nothing that identifies you. Hintkeep doesn’t send your personal information to us or to third parties. In App Store terms, the app’s privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.
Services we use
These outside services receive data from Hintkeep to make it work. Each handles that data under its own privacy policy.
- The website of a link you save
- Hintkeep asks that website for the page's title so the saved link shows a readable name. What it receives: A normal web request for that one page, sent directly from your iPhone, so the website sees your IP address and device information. Nothing you wrote in Hintkeep is sent, and the request doesn't go through any server of ours. Right after you add a link to a hint or idea, or save a link shared from another app. Depends on that website; see its own privacy policy.
Permissions
Hintkeep asks for these only when you use the feature that needs them. You can change your answer at any time in the Settings app.

Tracking, ads and analytics
Hintkeep doesn’t track you: it doesn’t link information about you with information from other companies’ apps, websites or data brokers, and it doesn’t use an advertising identifier.
Hintkeep doesn’t show ads.
It has no analytics or crash-reporting services. If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may share crash reports with us; Apple doesn’t include your identity.
Accounts
There are no accounts in Hintkeep. You don’t sign in or give us your name or email address.
Purchases
Hintkeep offers one-time purchases through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment and knows what you bought; we don’t receive your name, email address or payment details. The app checks what you’ve bought on your device with Apple’s StoreKit. Apple’s Privacy Policy applies to the purchase.
Children
Hintkeep isn’t directed at children under 13, and it doesn’t collect personal information from anyone.
How long data is kept, and deleting it
Information on your device stays until you delete it. Deleting Hintkeep removes the information it keeps in its own storage on your device; copies in your backups remain until you delete those. If you've bought something, a random purchase identifier that the app keeps in the iOS Keychain can stay on the device after the app is deleted, so your purchases can be matched again; it doesn't identify you.
The website of a link you save: Depends on that website; see its own privacy policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have the right to know what information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct or delete it, and to object to how it’s used. Because Hintkeep keeps your information on your device, you can see, change and delete it in the app. To make a request or a complaint, email [email protected]. You can also contact your local data-protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Hintkeep handles information, we’ll update this page and its effective date, and list the change below.
- : Hintkeep's privacy policy moves to apps.marketgence.com and replaces the earlier page on rork.live. One correction: the earlier page said Hintkeep fetches a saved link's title and preview image; it fetches only the page title.
