What can I do with Hintkeep?

How do I save a hint from another app?
In Safari or another app, tap Share and choose Hintkeep (if it isn't listed, tap More and turn it on). You can share one link, some text or one image. It waits in the Capture tab until you review it; nothing is shared with anyone. If you share the same thing twice, Hintkeep asks whether to save it anyway or discard the duplicate.
How do occasion reminders work?
Open Upcoming ▸ ⋯ ▸ Settings & privacy and turn on Occasion reminders, then pick a time. Each occasion can have its own lead times. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. With Discreet notifications on (the default), they don't show names or gifts. Archived or muted people never get reminders.
How can I share gift ideas without spoiling a surprise?
In Settings & privacy ▸ Your data, tap Share a readable summary…. You choose exactly which items to include, and ideas marked as a surprise are left out unless you tick them.
How do I move my gift notes to a new iPhone?
In Settings & privacy ▸ Your data, tap Make a full backup and save the file somewhere safe. It includes photos and voice notes. On the new iPhone, tap Import a backup… and choose the file. Importing merges by item, so nothing is duplicated. Backup isn't sync; Hintkeep keeps data on each device only.
Why does Hintkeep go online when I add a link?
It asks that website for the page title so the link shows a readable name. Nothing you wrote is sent. If the title can't be fetched, the link is still saved, just without a title.
Do I need an account?
No. Hintkeep works without signing in.
Where is my data kept?
On your device. We don’t have a copy, so we can’t recover it if you delete the app; keep your device backed up.
How do I restore my purchases?
Upcoming ▸ ⋯ menu ▸ Settings & privacy ▸ Ownership ▸ Restore purchase, and on the Hintkeep Core unlock screen. Use the same Apple Account you bought with. If your purchase still doesn’t appear, email us.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting Hintkeep from your device removes what it keeps in its own storage. If you've bought something, a random purchase identifier that the app keeps in the iOS Keychain can stay on the device after the app is deleted, so your purchases can be matched again; it doesn't identify you.
