LoreMancer Privacy Policy
In short
- LoreMancer keeps your information on your device. Some data leaves your device only for the features described under “What leaves your device”, and only when you use them.
- No tracking and no ads. LoreMancer doesn’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites and doesn’t show ads.
- No analytics or crash-reporting services are built in.
- No account: you don’t sign in, and we don’t know who you are.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
Who we are
LoreMancer is published by Marketgence Technologies LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use LoreMancer on your iPhone or iPad. Questions: [email protected].
What stays on your device
LoreMancer keeps these on your device, in the app’s own storage that other apps can’t read:
- Your sagas: characters, scenes, world, chronicle and canon.
- Your Ink ledger and purchase notes (Ink allowance kept in this device's Keychain).
- Settings such as Game Master mode, dice set and lettering.
We don’t receive this information and can’t see it.
Like other app data, it may be included in your device backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you use them.

Services we use
These outside services receive data from LoreMancer to make it work. Each handles that data under its own privacy policy.
- Rork (Rork Toolkit AI proxy)
- Receives each Cloud GM request and forwards it to the Vercel AI Gateway. What it receives: The scene packet or recap/continuity request, plus normal request data such as IP address. When the Cloud GM writes (Auto or Cloud mode). Not visible in the app's code; may keep request logs. See Rork's policy. Privacy policy: rork.com.
- Vercel (AI Gateway)
- Routes each request to the model provider, falling back to another model if the first is unavailable. What it receives: The same request content as above. When the Cloud GM writes (Auto or Cloud mode). Not visible in the app's code; may keep request logs. See Vercel's policy.
- Anthropic (Claude Sonnet 5)
- The primary model that writes scenes, recaps and continuity checks. What it receives: The scene packet or recap/continuity request (fictional game state and the actions you choose, type or dictate). When the Cloud GM writes (Auto or Cloud mode). May keep request logs under its API terms; see Anthropic's policy. Privacy policy: anthropic.com.
- OpenAI (GPT-5.4, fallback)
- Fallback model used only if the primary model is unavailable. What it receives: The same request content as above. Only when the gateway falls back from the primary model. May keep request logs under its API terms; see OpenAI's policy. Privacy policy: openai.com.
- Google (Gemini 2.5 Pro, fallback)
- Second fallback model used only if the others are unavailable. What it receives: The same request content as above. Only when the gateway falls back from the other models. May keep request logs under its API terms; see Google's policy. Privacy policy: policies.google.com.
- Apple (speech recognition)
- Turns an action you speak into text. What it receives: Your voice while dictation is on; Apple's speech recognition may process it on Apple's servers. The app keeps only the text. Only while you use the microphone button to dictate an action. Governed by Apple's privacy policy. Privacy policy: apple.com.
Artificial intelligence
The Cloud GM writes story scenes, recaps and continuity checks. The Local GM (fixed templates, no AI model) writes on the device when you choose On device, run out of Ink, or are offline. It uses Anthropic (Claude Sonnet 5), OpenAI (GPT-5.4, fallback) and Google (Gemini 2.5 Pro, fallback) through Rork Toolkit proxy and the Vercel AI Gateway. When you use it, this is sent: The scene packet: world summary, canon, location, threads, character sheets (name, class, level, HP, gear, epithet, bonds, flaw, voice, oath, scars), characters present, quests, last three scenes, premise or recap, and your action with its dice result; recaps also send the chronicle. The service generates the answer and may keep request records under its own policy. Don’t include anything you wouldn’t want processed this way.

Permissions
LoreMancer asks for these only when you use the feature that needs them. You can change your answer at any time in the Settings app.

Tracking, ads and analytics
LoreMancer doesn’t track you: it doesn’t link information about you with information from other companies’ apps, websites or data brokers, and it doesn’t use an advertising identifier.
LoreMancer doesn’t show ads.
It has no analytics or crash-reporting services. If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may share crash reports with us; Apple doesn’t include your identity.
Accounts
There are no accounts in LoreMancer. You don’t sign in or give us your name or email address.
Purchases
LoreMancer offers auto-renewable subscriptions, consumable items and one-time purchases through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment and knows what you bought; we don’t receive your name, email address or payment details. The app checks what you’ve bought on your device with Apple’s StoreKit. Apple’s Privacy Policy applies to the purchase.
Children
LoreMancer isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. Made for teens and adults (rated 12+); not directed to children.
How long data is kept, and deleting it
Information on your device stays until you delete it. You can delete it in the app: Settings ▸ Your data ▸ Delete all my data (purchases stay with your Apple Account and can be restored). Deleting LoreMancer removes the information it keeps in its own storage on your device; copies in your backups remain until you delete those. If you've bought something, a random purchase identifier and your remaining credit balance that the app keeps in the iOS Keychain can stay on the device after the app is deleted, so your purchases can be matched again; it doesn't identify you.

Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have the right to know what information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct or delete it, and to object to how it’s used. Because LoreMancer keeps your information on your device, you can see, change and delete it in the app. To make a request or a complaint, email [email protected]. You can also contact your local data-protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change how LoreMancer handles information, we’ll update this page and its effective date, and list the change below.

Corrected: purchases are checked on your device with StoreKit (earlier text named RevenueCat); scenes go to the AI in the default Auto setting too, not only in Cloud; and AI requests pass through Rork's proxy and the Vercel AI Gateway, not a server we run.
