What can I do with Observatory?
- Import conversations from screenshots (text is recognised on the device), chat export files or CSV.
- Review who said what before anything is saved.
- Log dates, plans, milestones, needs, agreements and weekly closeness check-ins for each connection.
- Optional cloud readings, conversation reports, answers to your questions and reply drafts that cite your saved messages.
- Choose which connections and sources the AI may use.
- App lock with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
- Readable export for each connection, and delete everything in one step.
How do I turn on AI readings?
On Today, tap the profile button, open Cloud analysis and source controls, and tap Review and enable cloud analysis. Nothing is sent until you confirm.
Can I keep a connection or a message out of the AI?
Yes. In Cloud analysis and source controls, open a connection and switch it off, or switch off individual sources. Exclusions apply to future requests.
Are my screenshots uploaded?
No. Text is recognised on your device, and only reviewed text can be sent, and only if you enable cloud analysis. Screenshots are kept only if you turn on “Keep the screenshots I import”, and you can delete them all from the same screen.
How do I stop AI use?
In Cloud analysis and source controls, tap Revoke future cloud access. Your saved records and readings stay on your device. To pause only automatic readings, turn off “Build a reading automatically after a save”.
Can I lock the app?
Yes. Turn on “Require unlocking when the app opens” under Privacy. It uses Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode.
Do I need an account?
No. Observatory works without signing in.
Where is my data kept?
On your device. We don’t have a copy, so we can’t recover it if you delete the app; keep your device backed up.
How do I delete my data?
In the app: Today ▸ profile button ▸ Your data ▸ Delete everything in this app. You can also delete a single connection from its page, or delete all stored screenshots. Deleting Observatory from your device removes what it keeps in its own storage.
