Who we are

Personal Atlas (“Personal Atlas: Been & Known” on the App Store) is published by Marketgence Technologies LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Personal Atlas on your iPhone or iPad. Questions: [email protected].

What stays on your device

Personal Atlas keeps these on your device, in the app’s own storage that other apps can’t read:

• Places you mark as visited, with first-visit year, whether you lived there, and notes.
• Pins you drop: name, note, year, color, symbol and map coordinates.
• Connections: the name, initials or alias you choose, the relationship type (dated or intimate), and the places linked to each person.
• Settings: whether setup is done, whether the sample story was added, and whether route lines are shown.

We don’t receive this information and can’t see it.

Like other app data, it may be included in your device backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you use them.

What leaves your device

Nothing that identifies you. Personal Atlas doesn’t send your personal information to us or to third parties. In App Store terms, the app’s privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.

Services we use

These outside services receive data from Personal Atlas to make it work. Each handles that data under its own privacy policy.

Apple (Apple Maps and geocoding)

Draws the map in the Been and Connections tabs, and suggests a place name when you drop a new pin. What it receives: Map tile requests for the area on screen, with the normal request data such as IP address. When you drop a new pin, its coordinates are sent to Apple to look up a place name. Your saved places, notes and connections are not sent. Map tiles whenever a map is shown; the place-name lookup only when you drop a new pin. Privacy policy: apple.com.

Permissions

Personal Atlas doesn’t ask for access to your camera, microphone, photos, location, contacts or other protected information.

Tracking, ads and analytics

Personal Atlas doesn’t track you: it doesn’t link information about you with information from other companies’ apps, websites or data brokers, and it doesn’t use an advertising identifier.

Personal Atlas doesn’t show ads.

It has no analytics or crash-reporting services. If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may share crash reports with us; Apple doesn’t include your identity.

Accounts

There are no accounts in Personal Atlas. You don’t sign in or give us your name or email address.

Purchases

Personal Atlas has no in-app purchases.

Children

Personal Atlas isn’t directed at children under 13, and it doesn’t collect personal information from anyone.

How long data is kept, and deleting it

Information on your device stays until you delete it. Deleting Personal Atlas removes the information it keeps in its own storage on your device; copies in your backups remain until you delete those.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have the right to know what information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct or delete it, and to object to how it’s used. Because Personal Atlas keeps your information on your device, you can see, change and delete it in the app. To make a request or a complaint, email [email protected]. You can also contact your local data-protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Personal Atlas handles information, we’ll update this page and its effective date, and list the change below.

• September 25, 2026: First version on apps.marketgence.com. It replaces the earlier policy at oleksgjsngw6zbejb498r-web.rork.live/privacy. Corrected: the old policy said your places are never sent to Apple, but when you drop a new pin its coordinates are sent to Apple to suggest a place name. Dropped pins are now listed among the data kept on your device.
